ARALUX
Center for Art & Revelation
Located in the Yucatán, ARALUX (from the Latin ara, “altar,” and lux, “light”) is a center for artistic and contemplative inquiry devoted to the investigation of perception and creative inspiration, and to cultivating the conditions under which sacred form becomes perceptible.
Emerging from the artistic practice of founder Lia Chavez, ARALUX cultivates environments in which artistic practice becomes a site of heightened attention, contemplative intensity, and revelation. The Center approaches art as a disciplined mode of receptivity: sustained engagement with the form in which divine presence becomes perceptible — as intelligibility and creative emergence that exceeds habitual perception and instrumental thought.
A contemporary center for art and revelation, ARALUX brings together artists, scholars, musicians, writers, contemplatives, scientists, and researchers committed to rigorous inquiry into beauty, consciousness, sacred form, and the conditions under which perception opens onto depth, radiance, meaning, and the sources of creative inspiration.
